BlackBerry Torch 9860 and Torch 9810 Offer A Number Of New Technologies

The BlackBerry mobile phones of late have been recently experiencing a lot of downturn with regard to the features. It is mainly because of the lack of high-end features that are focused towards entertaining customers rather than just being focused on business options alone. However, this trend within the BlackBerry mobile phones will be finally changing following the announcement of the BlackBerry Torch 9860 and the BlackBerry Torch 9810. Both these phones are extremely good in terms of the features that they are offering for their targeted customers. Hence, they are extremely different in the way they look and function.

Even though they were launched simultaneously by BlackBerry, they are worlds apart in terms of features and options. This is a statement of that can be aptly explained by looking at the touch screen display size of both phones. While the Torch 9810 offers only a 3.2 inch touch screen display, the Torch 9860 provides a 3.7 inch touch screen display. They also differ in terms of the resolution that is present within the display as well. The Torch 9810 offers a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, which is very similar to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 recently launched by the company. However, it is very different from the resolution offered by the BlackBerry Torch 9860. It offers 480 by 800 pixel resolution in the touch screen display that is ideal for watching movies.

However, it is an aspect that mostly rests on the memory capacity of the phone. There is none better than the Torch 9860 in this regard. The Torch 9860 offers the memory capacity of 4 GB internally in addition to the external memory card support. Even though the Torch 9810 is oriented towards satisfying the business customers, it offers a bigger memory than the Torch 9860. It offers 8 GB of memory internally, while the external memory cards support feature is the same as in the Torch 9860. The Torch 9810 will be providing a five megapixel camera for capturing images, which is also very similar to the unit present in the Torch 9860.

Both phones also offer the same kind of features within the camera, which is capped off by the presence of the 720 p HD video recording option. This is an option that is mostly used by the high-end smart phones, which is something that BlackBerry is attempting to build. The Torch 9810 and the Torch 9860 are the phones that will be demonstrating the fact that it is not beyond the possibilities. Both phones offer the same 1.2 GHz processor, while the operating system present within the phone is also the same BlackBerry OS 7. This recently unveiled operating system comes with a whole host of features that are designed to make the phone certainly interesting. The Torch 9810 is a mobile phone that will soon be available in the United Kingdom for around £ 40 per month, while the Torch 9860 is also expected to command same pricetag.
